PURPOSE:To relieve the load on a communication terminal equipment by providing a procedure identifying a communication opposite party in communication function confirming procedures between adaptors to eliminate the communication opposite identification procedure from the communication terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:After a physical line is connected by a call setting procedure, an incoming adaptor gives a state identification code representing that the communication terminal equipment is replied only to a specific party to an information frame and sends the result. The caller-side adaptor recognizes a state identification code and inputs a communication terminal identifier code to the information frame and sends the result. The adaptor of the incoming side compares it with an opposite terminal identification code registered in advance in the adaptor when a communication terminal identification code is obtained, and enters a normal communication procedure in case of coincidence only, and enters the procedures such as line disconnection in case of the dissidence.
