PURPOSE:To manufacture an Al-alloy material excellent in deep drawability and capable of providing good-quality formed parts, by subjecting an ingot of an Al alloy having a specific composition consisting of Mn, Mg, Cu, Si, Fe, and Al to hot rolling and cold rollings under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The ingot of an Al alloy consisting of, by weight, 0.1-1.0% Mn, 0.1-1.0% Mg, 0.1-0.5% Cu, 0.1-0.5% Si, 0.1-0.8% Fe, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities is subjected to soaking treatment, which is then hot-rolled under the conditions of 450-550 deg.C initial temp. and 260-290 deg.C finishing temp. Subsequently, the hot-rolled plate is cold-rolled and subjected to recrystallization annealing treatment. The cold-rolled sheet after the above treatment is cold-rolled and is then subjected to rapid annealing treatment and finally to the final cold rolling at >60-90% draft. In this way, the Al-alloy material excellent in deep drawability, having medium-degree strength suitable for closure material, etc., and capable of providing a deep-drawn product minimal in anisotropy, having fine precipitate grain size, reduced in ear rate, and having superior surface quality can be obtained.
