PURPOSE:To effectively utilize a main memory by specifying whether a program is to be loaded to a main memory successively from a lower address or a higher address by means of parameters. CONSTITUTION:The titled system is provided with an automatic determining mechanism 1 for determining the loading addresses successively from the lower address, a specified address mechanism 2 for specifying the loading addresses to a higher address and a parameter 3 for specifying the program loading type, 1 or 2. The program is assigned to the memory 4 by either one loading type under OS control. When the loading address is specified to the higher address when an application program 33 loads an OS module 32, blank areas in the main memory are continued even after ending the program 33, so that the main memory can be effectively utilized.
