<p>A gas burner includes a burner tube which has on one side a row of burner nozzles aimed against a surface to be heated. In the interior of the burner tube, at least one slider is arranged which can be moved from outside the burner tube along the tube and by means of which the end burners of the row of burner nozzles can be shut off from the gas supply which is supplied the center of the burner tube, so that the row of the burner nozzles can be adapted to the width of the surface to be heated, e.g., to the width of a web when the burner tube is used to heat a hollow roll used to treat a web.</p> |
