PURPOSE:To decorate a hollow molded object with the pattern, etc. of beautiful gradation and color tone, while the decorating processes are remarkably reduced by a method in which the transferring foil with a printing layer is inserted into a mold, and said printing layer is transferred on a hollow molded object in the process of molding the hollow molded object. CONSTITUTION:In the state of a mold being opened, the rollers 18 in feeding part 4 and winding part 5 are rotated in synchronization with each other, thereby feeding a transferring foil 3. A decorating layer 15 is fitted onto the position of the inner surface in the cavity 26 corresponding to the position to be decorated of a hollow molded object. Simultaneously, heated hollow synthetic resin material R is inserted into the mold 2. Then, when the mold 2 is closed, a stationary plate 10 and a movable plate 11 are fixed with the transferring foil 3 intervening therebetween. Next, the gas such as high temperature and high pressure air is set and brown to the synthetic resin R, whereby the resin is expanded. Thus, the hollow molded object S is molded. Then, the surface of the hollow molded object S presses the decorating layer 15 of the transferring foil 3, and the decorating layer 15 is stuck to said surface by the heat of the hollow molded object S. When the mold 2 is opened, the peeling layer 15a of the decorating layer 15 is separated from a base sheet 14, and the printing layer 15b is transferred to said surface. |
