PURPOSE:To prevent the production of a device reaction force by means of a piping stress, by a method wherein an elbow made of a shape memory alloy is situated to a thermal bending occurring part. CONSTITUTION:Device pipings 14 and 15 are risen from a pair of plant devices 12 and 13, respectively, situated away from each other on a foundation 11. When rise pipes are coaxially connected to the upper ends of the device pipings 14 and 15 through flanges 16 and 17, respectively, straight elbows 18 and 19 made of a shape memory alloy are situated. In this constitution, at a point of time when the temperature of the elbow of a shape memory alloy is increased to a specified value during steady operation, based on a shape memory effect, the elbow is bent at a given angle, and is formed in a shape adapted to that of a bent part produced owing to a thermal change of a connection piping. This constitution enables prevention of the generation of a piping stress and a device reaction force.
