NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I (R<1> is lower alkyl; R<2> is H or lower alkyl; A is -CH2-, -CH2CH2- or group shown by formula II). EXAMPLE:A compound shown by formula III. USE:An antibacterial agent and a beta-lactamase inhibitor having excellent resistance to kidney dehydropeptidase (DHP). Preferably being parenterally administered in the form of injection. PREPARATION:A compound shown by formula IV (R<3> is carboxy-protecting group; R is acryl) is reacted with a mercapto reagent shown by formula V (Y<-> is anion) to give a compound shown by formula VI. The carboxy-protecting group R<3> is removed from the compound.
