PURPOSE:To manufacture a product having superior wear resistance such as a wheel disk by successively subjecting a Cr-contg. steel having a specified compsn. to hot rolling, annealing, working into a product and heat treating under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:A steel having a compsn. consisting of, by weight, <=0.75% C, <=1.50% Si, <=2.50% Mn, <=0.040% P, <=0.030% S, 1.0-28.0% Cr, 0.010-0.200% sol. Al, <=0.0300% N and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is hot rolled, annealed at 600-800 deg.C for 10-15hr, cooled and worked into a product such as a wheel disk. A part or the whole of the product is heat treated by heating at the Ac3 point or above for 5-60min and slow cooling to 300-700 deg.C at 5-100 deg.C/hr cooling rate. A proper amt. of one or more among Cu, Ni, Mo, Nb, V and Ti may be added to the compsn. of the steel as required. |
