PURPOSE:To reduce reaction of ceramic-based superconductor with conductive matter in a sintering process and prevent deterioration of superconductive characteristics by coating the surface of the ceramic-based superconductor with electricity insulating matter including fibers of basic oxide in a predetermined quantity and consisting of heat-resistant inorganic insulating matter for the rest. CONSTITUTION:The surface of fluoride-based or oxide-based superconductor 1 is coated with electricity insulating matter 2 including fibers of basic oxide by 50-98% and heat-resistant insulating matter such as quartz which is mix- spinned and inorganically arranged, so super-conductive wire 3 is produced. Interfacial reaction between the oxide-based superconductor 1 and electricity insulating matter 2 is thus reduced, and superconductive wire without deterioration of superconductive characteristics is obtained, heat resistance of the electricity insulating matter 2 is made good, deterioration by heat is eliminated, and work in a winding process is facilitated.
