发明名称 PROBE ARRANGING METHOD FOR CYLINDER FLAW DETECTION SYSTEM
摘要 PURPOSE:To detect corrosion automatically without being affected by the surface roughness and curvature of a cylinder by receiving an ultrasonic wave sent from a main probe by an auxiliary probe at the outside of a skirt and correcting the sensitivity of echo intensity. CONSTITUTION:A main probe 6a is arranged on the inside of the skirt of a cylinder 1 nearby the cylinder 1 and the auxiliary probe 6b is arranged on the outside. Then while the cylinder 1 is rotated by a rotary driving roller 9, the corrosion in a flaw detection area on the inside of the skirt 2 is detected. The surface roughness and curvature of the cylinder 1 affect how easy the ultrasonic wave from the main probe 6a enters the plate of the cylinder 1, so the ultrasonic wave sent by the main probe 6a is received by the auxiliary probe 6b on the outside of the skirt 2 and the intensity of the received wave is used as sensitivity correction data. Namely, a flaw detection data sensitivity correction processing block 10 corrects the sensitivity processing the intensity of the echo of the ultrasonic wave which is sent by the main probe 6a and reflected by the corrosion to return to the main probe 6a with the level of the wave received by the auxiliary probe 6b.
