The invention concerns a method and a device for joining profile pieces, in particular profile pieces which form part of an electrical cable conduit system. The profile pieces 2, 14, 15 are provided with at least one T-track in which a joining device 1 is intended to be arranged so that the device forms a bridge over the site of the joint when the joining has taken place. The joining device 1 according to the invention comprises a rail or rod with a slightly V-shaped cross section. The device has a flexible area where it can be bent or a bend indication 10 which runs along the point of the V, and the side edges 6, 7 of the device are designed to engage with the side edges 4, 5 of the T-track and also to form spacing devices 8, 9 which permit the joining device 1 to be flattened out and pass over a dead-point position. As a result of a knee joint effect in connection with this a relatively small pressure on the bend indication will cause the joining device to be stretched or expanded outwards towards the side edges 6, 7 in the T-track with great force to lock the profile pieces 2, 14, 15 to each other effectively. <IMAGE>
