[Class 137] A movable cover 15 adapted to close an opening in the roof 9 or elsewhere in a vehicle may be raised and tilted in reverse directions, in one of which air is extracted from the interior, and in the other air is directed into the vehicle. The cover has a flange 16 on its underside to which is pivoted a link 18 the lower end of which is pivoted to one end of an arm 20, the other end being pivoted to a fixed support 22. The front end of the cover is attached at 30 to links 24 pivotally connected at 32 to fixed brackets 33 and the rear end is attached to links 25 pivoted at 26 to angle brackets 27. Flanges 15a on the cover bed in rubber insertions 12 when the lid is closed. When the link 20 is moved to the left by its handle portion 20a, the link 18 will be raised, and the cover opened to face forwardly, swinging about the fixed pivots of the links 24. Similarly when the link 20 is swung to the right, the rear end of the cover is raised. A gauze screen supported by bowed members 36b prevents entry of dust &c. |
