The circuit arrangement for the proportional representation of the change in attenuation of optical fibres during production processes relates to the fibre-optic cable production industry and is used in reducing reject production. The proportional representation of the attenuation is achieved by means of a divider which is integrated into a circuit and to which are fed, via two optocouplers, first the current from the non-extruded optical fibre, which is stored, and the present current, which is measured continuously during the extrusion. The receivers of these optocouplers in this case form the current sources for two sawtooth generators assigned to each other, the frequency of one generator being determined via the assigned optocoupler from the instantaneous attenuation and the second generator being forcibly synchronised therewith. By this means it is achieved, that its peak voltage likewise depends, via an optocoupler, on the attenuation value of the non-extruded material in cooperation with a forced charging time, and delivers an average value via a low-pass filter.
