<p>A tamper-evident, reclosable, integral rigid plastic lid (1) for use on a container (3) having an upper circular wall (5) provides a double seal for the container contents until opened by a user and a single seal thereafter. The lid (1) has a circular base (15), with a recess therein and a rupturable planar member (37) extending across the recess, and a hinged closure member (53) secured to a platform (25) which completely covers the recess. The platform (25) is in the shape of a segment of the circle formed by the circular base (15) with a downwardly extending face provided along a chord of the circle which, with an arcuate raised rim (29) about the circular base forms the bounds of the recess.</p> |
