PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the compression set of a rubber vulcanizate, by mixing a copolymer rubber comprising epichlorohydrin with propylene oxide with a specified triazine compound and a quaternary salt. CONSTITUTION:A rubber composition is obtained by mixing a copolymer rubber comprising epichlorohydrin, propylene oxide and, optionally, an unsaturated epoxide with (A) a di- or tri-thiol-s-triazine compound (1) and a quaternary ammonium and/or phosphonium salt (2) and (B) a quaternary ammonium salt of a di- or tri-thiol-s-triazine and/or its quaternary phosphonium salt derivative. Although the heat softening degradation and dynamic ozone resistance can be improved by the copolymerization of the unsaturated epoxide, the composition is defective in that heat hardening deterioration occurs to lose its rubber elasticity and to become brittle when it is above 15mol.%.
