PURPOSE:To improve dielectric constant, distortion characteristic, coupling coefficient and electrical mechanical quality factor and to reduce baking temperature by adding 0.02-0.4mol% of Sm2O3 to a constituent made by displacing part of Pb atoms of a specific porcelain constituent with Sr atom. CONSTITUTION:Using a constituent made by displacing part of Pb atoms of a porcelain constituent of a family expressed by the equation I or II with Sr atom, a ferroelectric piezoelectric porcelain constituent is formed by adding 0.02-0.4mol% of Sm2O3. In this way, baking can be performed at low temperatures. Dielectric constant, distortion characteristic, coupling coefficient, electrical mechanical quality factor, etc., of piezoelectric ceramic used as an actuator for example may be improved.
