Synchronisation of new sound track for video recording - using multitrack magnetic sound transducer and synchroniser determining timing and length of phrases which are inserted by writing equipment

The new sound recording is synchronised with a video recording to eliminate errors between the sound and the movement of a persons lips. Synchronisation is performed utilising TV images without recourse to filming. Televised scenes are recorded by video camera and magnetoscope with sound and sync. signals. A multitrack magnetic sound transducer and synchroniser determine timing and length of phrases which are inserted by writing equipment. Text and image signals are mixed and a second magnetoscope allows imates to be projected on a screen or monitor to allow synchronisation of new sound via microphone of a multitrack magnetophone.
