PURPOSE:To easily synchronize a complicated three-dimensional picture and a two-dimensional picture on the real-time basis and to mix-display the synthesized picture on a CRT by outputting a hidden-surface processing result through a frame memory having double-buffer composition. CONSTITUTION:Tree-dimensional picture data prepared by a hidden-surface processor 11 are inputted to a first (second) frame memory 9 (10), and the three- dimensional picture data are outputted from a second (first) frame memory 10 (9) and inputted to one side of a synthesizing circuit 8. Thereafter, when two-dimensional picture data are outputted from a third frame memory 5 and inputted to the other side of the synchronizing circuit 8, the three-dimensional picture and the two-dimensional picture can be displayed in a mixed state. Thus, the two-dimensional picture data and the three-dimensional picture data can be synthesized and displayed easily without limiting the number of the pieces of polygon information for one picture, which become the original of three-dimensional picture data. |
