PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance and stress corrosive cracking resistance by hot-working under specifying finishing temp. and working ratio of a stainless steel regulating adding quantities of mutual of C, Cr and N and holding the specific temp. range on the way of cooling to form bainitic structure. CONSTITUTION:The steel composing of <=0.15wt.% C, 0.1-0.5% Si, 0.2-1.0% Mn, 9-16.0% Cr, <=0.02% P, <=0.02% S, 0.01-0.05% Al, 0.01-0.25% N and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is melted. In this composition, Cr%>=10XC%+30XN%+8 is to be satisfied. This steel slab is heated at 950-1,250 deg.C and hot-worked at >=750 deg.C the finishing temp. and 60-95% the working ratio. After holding in the temp. range of 650-400 deg.C in the way of cooling, the steel is air-cooled to the room temp. and made to the bainitic structure at >=80% area ratio. In this steel, if necessary, the suitable quantities of one or more kinds among Ni, Mo, V, Ti and Nb are contained. |
