The invention relates to a structural element which comprises two components joined detachably together, preferably a ball joint 4 and a swivel arm 5, in a wheel suspension for a steerable wheel belonging to a motor vehicle. The first component 4 is provided with a projecting mounting bracket 15 and the second component 5 is provided with at least one contact surface 17 for interaction with the mounting bracket 15. According to the invention, the mounting bracket 15 is configured with two longitudinal contact surfaces, which are disposed on one side each of the longitudinal centre line of the mounting bracket 15 and are facing away from this and, viewed in a plane perpendicular to the same, form an angle one to the other. The second component 5 has two contact surfaces 17, which are dimensioned and positioned for interaction with the contact surfaces of the mounting bracket 15. In addition, connecting members 19 are arranged to connect the first 4 and the second 5 component and to press the contact surfaces of the mounting bracket 15 against the contact surfaces 17 of the second component 5. <IMAGE> |
