PURPOSE:To remove NOX without NH3 by impregnating alkali metal element and one or more kinds of element among transition metals including group 1B and 2B elements, and Sn on carrier carbon and thereafter compression molding it by adding water glass. CONSTITUTION:The salt of alkali metal such as K, Na and the salt of transition metal including group 1B and 2B elements such as Ce, Mn, Zn, Fe, Th, Ti, or Sn are impregnated on the carbon carrier such as active carbon. Thereafter, the remover is obtd. by adding with water glass, by mixing with water, and by compression molding into e.g. honeycomb-shape with a molding machine. The obtd. remover can remove NOX without using NH3. |
