PURPOSE:To increase water resistance and water repellency of produced emulsion by compounding water-swelling clay mineral, quaternary ammonium salt type cation surfactant, aq. phase, oil phase contg. specified org. silicone resin, etc. CONSTITUTION:The water-in-oil type emulsion compsn. is prepd. by mixing water-swelling clay mineral, quaternary ammonium salt type cation surfactant, one or more kinds of polyoxyalkylene modified organopolysiloxanes, aq. phase, one or more kinds of org. silicone resins consisting of units of formula I (where, R is 1-6C hydrocarbon residue or phenyl group and n is 1.0-1.8). The quaternary ammonium salt type cation surfactant content is preferably 40-140 miliequiv. to 100g water-swelling clay mineral.
