In a process for coparallel joining, by brazing, of at least two metal plates, each having at least one through-going hole, in particular for preparing a plate-shaped heat exchanger, the metal plates are brazed while being kept together in coparallel relationship with their holes positioned opposite each other by means of a holding means bent about the edges of said holes. During the brazing process, the holding means keeps the metal plates so that suitable capillary gaps are provided between the sides of the holding means and the plates and between the individual plates. Moreover, the holding means may be used as a depot for brazing metal, placed at the brazing joint. |
