摘要

A magneto-optic recording medium coprises a substrate, a recording layer consisting of a rare-earth transition metal amorphous ferrimagnetic alloy thinfilm, and a transparent thin film of low oxygen content serving as interference layer and sandwiched between the above substrate and the recording layer, characterised in that a content ratio of the rare-earth metal to a transition metal in a boundary region of the recording layer between itself and the above transparent thinfilm is set to be smaller than an average content ratio of the rare-earth metal to the transition metal in the overall recording layer.
