PURPOSE: To realize a simple and accurate operation by monitoring an operational characteristic of a motor, and giving an alarm after judging whether the operational characteristic indicates a container side occlusion. CONSTITUTION: Voltage signals, which show a motor current between changing phases, are obtained from a motor 804 A using a sensor 829 and sent to an integrator 830. The motor current is integrated using the integrator 830 for the time required to fill a pump room. An output of the integrator 830 is supplied to a calibrating circuit 834 and a comparator 836 via an A/D converter 832. The calibrater 834 is sued to provide an alarm threshold value. An alarm circuit 838 is operated by an output of the comparator 836 and an alarm is given.
