<p>PURPOSE:To improve quick response in operation switch-over by a method wherein the rotor winding of a water wheel generator consists of three phases, the rotor winding is provided with a variable speed control device, and thereby concurrently the revolution of the water wheel generator is lowered when the power generating operation is directed during phase modifying operations. CONSTITUTION:The generated electric power of a generator 2 directly connected with a water wheel 1 is outputted to a system 6 from its one stator winding 2A via a parallel circuit breaker 3, a step-up transformer 4 and a transmission line disconnector 5. On the other hand, current converted into variable frequency by a variable speed control device 8 is supplied to the other rotor winding 2B of the generator 2 from the low voltage side of the step-up transformer 4 via a power supply current breaker 7. And a specified revolution signal 9 is applied to the variable speed control device 8, current frequency supplied to the other rotor winding 2B is thereby changed so that the generator 2 is operated at a specified revolution. This constitution allows switch-over characteristics from phase modifying operations to power generating operations which are currently restrained by the releasing time required by a power regulating valve.</p> |
