PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fiber giving a non-woven fabric having high strength because of high interfacial delamination strength of conjugate components by adding benzophenonetetracarboxylic acid dianhydride to a conjugate fiber composed of a high-melting polymer and a low-melting polymer. CONSTITUTION:The objective fiber is composed of (A) a high-melting polymer having a melting point of >=150 deg.C and (B) a low-melting polymer having a melting point lower than that of the component B by >=20 deg.C and forming a continuous area on at least a part of the fiber surface and contains (C) 0.01-5wt.% of 3,3',4,4'-benzophenonetetracarboxylic acid dianhydride of formula (R1-R6 are H or 1-3C alkyl) or its alkyl derivative. An example of the preferable combination of the polymers is a polypropylene for the component A and a polyethylene for the component B. The component C is preferably added usually to the components A and/or B. |
