PURPOSE:To enable versatile play even by an electronic musical instrument which has a small number of operating elements of a tablet, etc., by providing a scale key switching means which invalidates the generation of a musical sound corresponding to the play operation of a specific kind of scale key and enables the generation of a musical sound with an added specific kind of effect, and turning on the switching means. CONSTITUTION:A mode for scale key diversion is entered by depressing a function key 4 for scale key diversion and then a key of a scale which is not used for music to be played next is pressed. Thus, which 'key' is set is judged from the input of the unused key and a key 1 is used to indicate which kinds of operating element this unused key is diverted to. The kind of effect is inputted by this operation to add the desired effect by using the scale key which is not used for the 'key'. Namely, diversion to an operating element for the input of key depressing speed information is enabled even if a touch detecting device is not provided. The key assigned to the operating element is indicated with a light emission diode to make it possible to learn a key array corresponding to the 'key'. |
