<p>A method of recording data and initiating a perforating gun downhole in a borehole comprises lowering a perforating gun (14) into the borehole and also lowering a recorder (26) having a data memory into a data recording position in the borehole. A signal is transmitted downhole into the borehole to initiate the perforating gun and to initiate the recorder to begin recording data at an ascertainable memory location of the data memory in response to a downhole stimulus produced in response to the transmitted signal.</p> |
