<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the adhesion of ice and snow by mounting a heat-insulating material coating around the heating section of a heat pipe and previously installing a low Curie-point magnetic heating element to the heating section of the heat pipe in a device thawing snow adhering on an aerial wire. CONSTITUTION:Iron loss is generated by the transmission currents of an aerial wire 1 and heat is generated at a high temperature in a low Curie-point magnetic heating element 2 by setting up the low Curie-point magnetic heating element 2 and a spiral heat pipe 3 to the aerial wire 1, the heating section 4 of the heat pipe 3 is heated by heat generation of the heating element 2, and the heat is dissipated in a heat dissipating section 5. When a working fluid in the heat pipe is heat-dissipated and condensed, the working fluid quickly flows down to the heating section 4 at the low position of the catenary of the aerial wire 1 and is returned, thus thawing snow adhering on the aerial wire 1 by the heat dissipation of the heat pipe 3.</p> |
