PURPOSE:To detect both the number of persons waiting on each hall and the direction to be used by each person with high accuracy by obtaining the number of persons waiting on each elevator hall individually by means of the detecting output of a detecting means, catching the directions of going-up and going-down based on stored individual information, and thereby constituting a device to gain information on persons waiting on each elevator hall. CONSTITUTION:Let each person entering a building hold a wireless card which transmits a different signal by an individual, and each elevator hall in the building 40 is provided with bar antennas 11a through 11n which detect the card. Then, the number of persons waiting on each elevator hall are obtained individually by an operating means 14 based on the detected output from the bar antennas 11a through 11n, the directions of going-up and going-down obtained based on information by an individual about the floor to be used and the like, which is stored in advance so that information about persons waiting on each elevator hall is obtained. The number of persons waiting or each elevator hall are detected according to the directions of going-up and going-down so as to be totaled so that, besides, accurate information is totaled on a real time basis while the number of persons waiting on elevator halls can be detected according to the directions of going-up and going-down. |
