PURPOSE:To shorten the stroke of a brake pedal by furnishing a differential pressure adjusting means to adjust the difference between the output hydraulic pressure of a dynamic hydraulic pressure control device and the pressure chamber hydraulic pressure of a master cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When a stamping force is applied to a brake pedal 2, the power hydraulic pressure from a power hydraulic pressure source 40 is fed into a dynamic hydraulic pressure control device 20 and regulated in response to the stamping force to then be sent to a master cylinder 10. This output hydraulic pressure is transmitted to a pressure chamber 16 through a one-way valve means 15f and supplied to wheel cylinders 51a-52a in communication therewith. This allows supply of the braking hydraulic pressure without passing the process in which the piston slides to lead to shortening of strokes of the brake pedal. Therein the differential pressure between the output hydraulic pressure of a dynamic hydraulic pressure control device 20 to be supplied to the pressure chamber of master cylinder 10 and the hydraulic pressure generated in pressure chamber 12 of the master cylinder 10 is adjusted by a differential pressure adjusting means 5. This accomplishes the desired stroke characteristic without resulting in excessive shortening of strokes. |
