The invention relates to a device with containers and prefabricated concrete uprights, filled with earth and planted with plants. It consists of a reinforced concrete foundation 1, on which are placed containers surmounted by uprights. The construction is stabilised by anchoring ties (stays) 3, attached to the foundation and held on a crosspiece 9 bearing on the uprights of the last row. The elements are filled with earth 12. Drains 11, connected to an automatically regulated supply, keep the mass of earth moist. The uprights of the last row and the recesses 13 are planted with climbing plants 14. The device according to the invention is in particular intended for acoustic protection of people living alongside roads, motorways and railways. <IMAGE>
