PURPOSE:To ensure safety of an exchange work in a cut-off state by a method wherein a cut-off bag mounted to the inner peripheral part of a tail plate is pressurized for expansion and is adhered to the back of a segment, and a sealant is injected between tail seals. CONSTITUTION:Tails seals 6a and 6b are mounted in two stages on the bedrock side and the inner side of a tail plate 2. A cut-off bag 9 formed by a rubber series resilient substance is mounted on the inner peripheral part of the tail plate 2, and a piping 10 for feeding fluid is connected to the cut-off bag 9. In exchange of the tail seal, pressurized fluid is fed with a pressure, and through expansion of the cut-off bag 9, the surface of the bag is adhered to the back of a segment 7. Simultaneously, a high viscosity greaselike sealant is injected between the cut-off bag 9 and a tail seal 6a on the bedrock side, and after completion of cut-off, an augering machine is further advanced. This method enables safe exchange of the seal 6b. |
