The present invention relates to bar anchors having two aligned butt straps with bores for receiving a bolt and having a shaft with thread for the cost-effective joining and securing of bars for general usage, in particular in building construction. An opening width which widens inwards prevents expansion and fracturing as a result of tolerances of the flanges. Bores which are conical on one side permit the preliminary casting of a cylindrical bolt-bearing means.
