ORAL ANTIFUNGAL PREVENTATIVE, AND METHOD OF USE

Oral compositions for prevention of microfungal and mycotic infections of the oral cavity are disclosed comprising an antifungal compound embedded in a sustained release carrier such as a cellulosic polymer. Such oral compositions may contain an adhesive and a plasticizer to increase antifungal effectiveness, and may be coated onto orthodontal appliances such as dentures.
