FLOOR COVERING ELEMENT A floor covering element designed particularly for attachment to a decking plank comprises a narrow strip of a textile carpet material. Needle punch material is preferred in view of its stability. The needle punch material carries a plurality of staples at the side edges of the strip arranged transverse to the length of the strip and carried by a layer of adhesive film through which the prongs of the staples project for engagement with the wooden surface of the plank.
