PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for skipping respective stages of an electrophotographic system and to provide the compact device by using a seamless cylindrical film as the base body. CONSTITUTION:The seamless cylindrical PET film is used as the base body 1a. The jointless endless belt-shaped base body 1 can be deformed to an elliptical shape and is subjected to coating by immersing the jointless endless belt-shaped base body 1a which is held deformed to the elliptical shape into a coating liquid 13 in a coating tank 12. Namely, the base body is first immersed into a conductive coating compd. to form a conductive layer 2 on the base body 1a, then an under coating layer 3, a charge generating layer 4 and a charge transfer layer 5 are successively formed thereon. The need for skipping the respective stages of the electrophotographic system is eliminated in this way and the compact device is obtd. |
