NEW MATERIAL:A peptide shown by the formula. USE:An antihypertensive agent having excellently inhibitory activity against an enzyme capable of converting angiotensin. PREPARATION:First, tissue of fish (preferably Sardinops melanostieta) is extracted with distilled water and the extracted solution is centrifuged. Then ammonium sulfate is added to the prepared supernatant liquid until ammonium sulfate is saturated 70%. Formed precipitate is removed, ammonium sulfate is added to the supernatant liquid until ammonium sulfate is saturated 100% and formed precipitate is recovered. Successively, the precipitate is dissolved in distilled water, treated with a protease (preferably pepsin) and purified by ion exchange chromatography, gel filtration chromatography, etc. |
