PURPOSE:To improve the mounting efficiency of system units on an optical submarine repeater by mounting the system units so that the printed circuit boards of the units may be arranged almost perpendicular to the length direction of the repeater. CONSTITUTION:System units 1 and 11 are respectively constituted of incoming circuit units 2 and 12 and outgoing circuits 3 and 13. Printed circuit boards 21 and 24, etc., of the units are constituted to have a shape meeting the circuit cross section of a repeater 20 and arranged so that they can cross the repeater 20 in the length direction. Therefore, the vacant space of the repeater 20 can be utilized effectively and the mounting efficiency can be improved. |
