PURPOSE:To simplify operation and obtain an optimum B mode image by judging if the amplitude of a doppler deflection signal is within a prescribed range or not and judging the repetition continuity of the blood information of power, average and the dispersion on the basis of the spectrum data and switching the simultaneous scan of B mode and doppler mode and doppler mode scan. CONSTITUTION:When a small signal is inputted into an amplitude detector 11 in S/D scan mode, if the detected average frequency (f) becomes close to PRF/4, switching to D scan is performed by a selection control part 13. When the spectrum data is inputted into a calculation circuit 20 from a FET 6, the power P, average frequency (f), and dispersion sigma<2> are calculated by a power calculation part 21, average calculation part 22, and a dispersion calculation part 23, and the data is memorized into a memory 24. Further, the repetitiveness of the data read-out from the memory 24 is judged by a repetitiveness detector 12, and if the data is outside a prescribed range, the doppler pattern changes, and it is judged that the observation position deflects, and the data is outputted into the selection control part 13. Then the switching to the B/D scan is performed by controlling a receiving/transmission circuit 2 and a range gate part 4. |
