PURPOSE:To improve light resistance of cyanine dyestuff, to eliminate deterioration of characteristics caused by light rays during preservation in a dark chamber, further to increase water-vapor resistance and to improve storage stability by forming a bonded material of cyanine dyestuff cation and quencher anion. CONSTITUTION:In stabilizing a cyanine dyestuff containing a cyanine dyestuff cation shown by the formula [Z and Z' are atomic group required to complete indolenine ring, benzoindolenine ring or dibenzoindolenine ring; R1 and R1' are (substituted) alkyl, aryl or alkenyl; L is polymethylene bonded group to form cyanine dyestuff] as a dyestuff part, a bonded material of the cyanine dyestuff cation and a quencher anion is formed. The quencher anion is preferably an anion of chelated substance of transition metal. |
