PURPOSE:To obtain the recording medium excellent in dielectric strength and resistance to moisture, corrosion and heat by providing a recording layer, a dielectric layer and/or a protective layer on a transparent substrate mode of the polycarbonate resin contg. a coupling agent to form a recording medium and further coating the entire surface with an SiO2 film which is firmly attached. CONSTITUTION:An SiAlON dielectric film, a TbFeCo recording film and an SiAlON protective film are laminated on the polycarbonate-resin substrate to form a recording medium. Alternatively, two recording mediums are stuck to each other on the recording layer side and used. From 0.1 to 1pts.wt. of a compd. shown by the formula XnMY4-n is mixed as a coupling agent into 100pts.wt. of the polycarbonate resin. In the formula, X is a 1-10 C hydrocarbon having an amino group, epoxy group or an isocyanate group, M is Si or Ti, and Y is a 1-4 C hydrocarbon having an alkoxyl group or OH group. An SiO2 coating film is laminated on the upper surface and firmly attached, and a recording medium excellent in various characteristics is obtained. |
