The invention relates to a new process for preparing a stabilised water-soluble mixture or complex containing acetylsalicyclic acid, which consists in making a homogeneous aqueous solution containing, in free or salified form, salicylic acid, at least one pharmaceutically acceptable base and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable weak acid, and in then removing the water by gentle means, preferably by lyophilisation. Preferred weak acids of the invention are carbonic acid and disodium phosphate. The invention also relates, by way of new industrial products, to the stabilised water-soluble mixtures and complexes manufactured, in particular, according to the process of the invention. The invention further relates to medicaments which can be used in human and veterinary medicine, containing the new products of the invention, stabilised water-soluble complexes or mixtures of acetylsalicyclic acid.
