摘要 PURPOSE:To ascertain a transmission modulo with the highest efficiency automatically by sending the value of transmission modulo calculated in advance in an optical conversion interface at a data sender side to a receiver side interface, comparing the module with its own transmission modulo calculated by the receiver side and returning its own modulo to the sender side when its own modulo is smaller. CONSTITUTION:Prior to the transmission from a computer 1 to an external device 2, a buffer capacity detector 8 of an RS232C optical conversion interface 3a at the side of the computer 1 detects the capacitance of its own main buffer, the transmission modulo is calculated from the detected capacity and the capacity of an optical communication buffer 10 of an optical communication control section 5 and the value M1 is sent to the external equipment 2. The value M2 obtained by calculating its own transmission modulo at the interface 3b of the receiver side is compared with the value M1 and in the case of M1>M2, the data M2 is returned to the interface 3a and the returned value is used as the transmission module to start the transmission. Thus, the transmission efficiency is maximized even in the interfaces 3a, 3b whose buffer capacity differs from each other.
