<p>PURPOSE: To stably light an arc lamp for headlights by providing a means for outputting an AC voltage changed from the low voltage DC current of an on-vehicle battery and a transformer for adding this output to a primary coil terminal and connecting a secondary coil terminal to a lamp. CONSTITUTION: A means 100 is provided for outputting an AC voltage changed according to the function of each stage of a lamp based on a low voltage DC current from a battery E and a transformer T is provided for adding this AC voltage to a primary coil PT, and connecting a lamp L to a secondary coil terminal ST. A means is provided for causing capacitors C1 and C2 to generate first pulse voltages to be added to the lamp L to light an arc and generating a second pulse voltage to hold this arc and, from currents passing through inductances L1 and PT controlled by a switching means composed of switches T1 and T2 controlled based on a current value flowing to the lamp, pulse voltages are induced.</p> |
