The tube, especially for the air intake of an internal-combustion engine for vehicles, is characterised in that it is constituted by an inner support tube (1) forming a reinforcing member permeable to air and to liquids, and by a tubular outer layer 2 which is applied to the inner layer 1 in order to completely surround it and which is constituted by an air-permeable and liquid-impermeable foam containing a hydrophobic agent. In order to produce such a tube, a foaming agent is applied to the outer surface of the support tube 1 and the hydrophobic agent is added to it. <IMAGE>
