Device to stop people snoring, comprising a combination of: (1) a microphone (1) which is intended to be positioned in proximity to the head of a person prone to snoring; (2) an electronic switch (3) activated by the sound picked up by the microphone (1) and capable of closing an electric circuit; (3) a miniature motor (5) powered by this electric circuit; (4) means (9) connected to the shaft (11a) of the miniature motor (5) and intended to convert the rotary movement of its shaft (11a) into an alternating movement; (5) a suitable arm (6) connected to these means (9) for converting the rotary movement into an alternating movement; (6) a veil (7) of soft material carried by this arm (6) and intended to brush lightly over the face of the sleeper in a to-and-fro movement, the light brushing movement being such that it does not wake the sleeper but is sufficient to prevent him from snoring.
