Modular electronic rack, including a closed case (2), electronic cards (9) arranged in this case parallel to each other and supported in pairs on rigid frames (6) holding them apart from one another so as to form between them at least one space (10) closed peripherally by the uprights and cross-members (7, 8) of the frame, gas-injection means associated with the frames, in order to cause a cooling gas to penetrate into the space (10), and means for extracting the cooling gas, characterised in that the cooling-gas injection means comprise a gas distribution chamber (17) extending along one edge of the case (2) and vertically in line with a row of uprights (7a) of the frames (6), and openings (20) in communication with the chamber (17) and opening opposite the respective ends of the uprights (7a); and in that the upright (7a) of each frame (6), located vertically in line with the chamber (17), is a tubular section (profile) open at its end located opposite one of the openings (20) and equipped with at least one lateral orifice (22) emerging into the space (10). <IMAGE>
