A process for manufacturing an otoplastic for a modular in ear hearing aid with an inner ear housing having a housing cap (12). The cap (12) and the edge region (23) of the housing part (11) next to the edge (24) of the cap (12) are sealed by a first sealing mask (17). The sound outlet (15) of the hearing aid (10) is sealed to the housing wall (26) by a second flexible sealing mask (25). The modular hearing aid (10) including the masks (17, 25) is set into an otoplastic negative recess (31) which is filled in with a fluid otoplastic material which hardens to connect to the housing part (11). The hearing aid (10) is formed in the negative recess (31), the sealing masks (17, 25) are removed and the otoplastic is ready. USE/ADVANTAGE - The hearing aid and cap are made together during the same process so an identifying stamp on the respective led is not needed. Hearing aid is small and compact enough to be carried unobstructively.
